The Prime Minister is the leader of the party with the most seats in the Parliament.
An MP refers to a Member of Parliament. Members of Parliament serve as representatives of the people. They are elected by community members within their riding. There are 11 ridings in the Ottawa area, each with an elected MP representing us in the Parliament. Alongside provincial representatives, the Prime Minister and MPs are active in decision making regarding how much money will be given for services within provinces, cities, and our communities.
